JAZZ BANDS

Explore this truly American art form! We have two levels of jazz bands at Green River High School: Jazz 2 Ensemble for musicians new to jazz, and Jazz 1 Ensemble for more advanced musicians. In the fall, we start with a joint concert with the choirs and then join the Symphonic Band for the Christmas Program in December. In the spring, we start with Jazz Nigh at Lincoln Middle School, and end the year with the final concert and senior recognition. 

EXPECTATIONS

• Period 2 (Jazz 1), Period 5 (Jazz 2) 

• Show up prepared (have working instrument, music, pencil, ready-to-work attitude!)

• Attend sectional rehearsals.

• Attend and perform in all scheduled concerts.
